Strategy
To undertake studies in pharmacology and therapeutics in the tropics:

• Informing health policy in Africa for TB, HIV and Malaria
• Identification of novel targets and mechanisms of drug delivery
• Therapeutics trials of new agents or new combinations of existing agents
• Population pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic modeling and therapeutic drug monitoring
• Investigation of the genetic and molecular basis for drug hypersensitivity and early deaths during therapeutic interventions
