Science Communication

Science Communication (SC) at MLW begun in 2008. Although a new concept in Malawi at the time, Science Communication has increasingly become a necessity. Both the public and scientists acknowledge its importance. At Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Trust, Science Communication is considered as an integral part of our research work.  Science Communication couldn’t have come at a better time when medical research in Malawi is booming and the demand for credible medical findings is increasing to combat the many health problems affecting Africa and Malawi.

We exist to promote biomedical research knowledge and participation for mutual benefit

Our vision is that MLW will become more pro-active in engagement with local communities, organizations, government bodies and other stakeholders in its research work and lead the way in the development of science communication in Malawi.
